Allyson MacDonald DVMAllow me to introduce myself. I graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1988. My vision was to work in rural Ontario with farmers and pet owners to improve the quality of life of their animals which has resulted in my having practiced in south-western Ontario since graduation. I have had the opportunity to work some great farm managers and loving pet owners. My work has been constantly evolving as I continued my education to meet the needs of my clients.

Over the last 22 years I have developed special interests in the areas of canine reproduction, small ruminant medicine and now alternative medicine. Having the opportunity five years ago to work with a veterinary acupuncturist on several of my cases led me to pursue a certification in veterinary acupuncture which I completed in 2007. I am currently working toward a certification in herbal medicine as well.

As a part of my commitment to a full and balanced life style I am an active gardener, as I believe time spent digging in the dirt is very good for peace of mind. I am also an avid paddler and canoe racer, which keeps the physical body strong.

I look forward to meeting you and your animal.
